Role Summary

We're seeking a results-oriented Business Development Manager with a strong passion for renewable energy. The primary focus of this role is to facilitate short and long-term revenue growth by establishing strategic partnerships in the industrial, commercial, and residential markets in Malaysia including corporate partners, government agencies and referral programs.

We're looking for an individual who excels in communication, possesses an open-minded and collaborative spirit, and is motivated to contribute to the growth of a dynamic business by successfully closing deals. Knowledge and enthusiasm for the solar industry are considered valuable assets.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and implement strategies to build and expand the referral program.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling campaigns and initiatives that drive business growth.
  • Track and analyze the performance of any of the programs launched under business development, providing regular reports and insights to senior management or partners
  • Continuously optimize the program based on feedback and performance metrics
  • Management of key partnership action plans while identifying new potential partners to grow the business.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling pitch materials that are tailored to potential partners which includes corporations or government agencies to showcase pursuit of value proposition.
  • Manage executive level key contact with key potential partners including CEO/COO level meetings.
  • Develop strategies and business plans with partners and execute against metrics and milestones to drive user growth and revenue.
  • Research and identify new business opportunities and market trends in the solar industry.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and establish connections.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly

To be shortlisted for this position, you will need to have:

  • Candidates must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of proven sales records and experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • High proficiency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team with limited direct supervision and effective task management.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and concisely to the management team.
  • Continued professional development to stay current with changing technology.
  • Eye for detail and identifying problems.
  • Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationship with others;
  • Understanding of SOLS 24/7 values, principles and objectives and demonstrated ability to put them into practice in the workplace;
  • Proven ability in the areas of organization skills, conflict resolution, advocacy and group facilitation;
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a multidisciplinary team;
