About the Role

The Logistics and Fleet Executive will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the logistics department which includes fleet management, warehousing, and logistics. The Executive will be responsible for managing the fleet through efficient utilization of drivers, vehicles, and fuel. This position will also be responsible for ensuring that all drivers are trained to follow company standards and best practices.

Job Description

  • Oversee all logistics department operations in a way that ensures efficiency and meets customer needs.
  • Develop a plan to optimize fuel efficiency while maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a fleet of vehicles that are up to date with safety equipment.
  • Ensure that all company drivers are trained in company standards and best practices.
  • Communicate with drivers about their performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of fuel usage and driver behavior.
  • Review vehicle maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Monitor driver performance to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Degree in accounting, business management or a similar field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in logistics or in a similar position.
  • Experience in construction, engineering, or similar fields.  
  • Existing relationships with local and international suppliers. 
  • Familiar with customs clearance processes and documentation.
  • Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
  • Must have the ability to report remotely to work on a regular and punctual basis, despite working in flexible schedule.
  • Must possess own transport.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills. 
  • Attention to detail and organization.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills. 
  • Ability to multitask effectively, managing multiple projects to meet deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to manage third-party suppliers, partners, and vendors.
